The Relics are an exciting up and coming rock band from the Metro-Atlanta area. They were formed in the summer of 2017 and have had no trouble staying busy since their formation. The band is constantly playing shows and writing new music. Some notable highlights from the bands brief history include: releasing their debut single "Baby Blue" in September of 2017, placing first at the MadLife Stage and Studios Battle of the Bands, and playing at some of Atlanta's most renown venues.
The band members include: Joseph Pieper (Vocals, Guitar, Bass) Evan Borgese (Vocals, Bass, Guitar) Mitch Pew (Lead guitar), and Fernando Flores (drums).
Their debut EP will be available everywhere on February 22, 2019.
The Relics are the ultimate Swiss Army knife band. Stylistically their music is full of so much variety that it is hard to pin them down into just one sub-category of rock. Their music has elements of 1960s Brit rock, classic rock, blues rock, punk, pop rock, modern alternative rock, and hard rock. Their live shows are full of energy, excitement, and variety.
Some of the Relics major influences include greats of the past like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Queen, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, AC/DC, Bad Company, and Bob Dylan. And more recent groups like Green Day, Jet, The Brummies, and Cage the Elephant. These various influences of both old and new have helped shape the Relics sound: one that is refreshingly new yet nostalgically familiar.
